Reconciling her Beauty

There’s a girl who’s beautiful

            There’s a girl who’s full of beauty

There’s a girl whose “joy draws you in”

There’s a girl whose walls keep you out

There’s a girl who’s “always put together”

            There’s a girl who’s a shattered mosaic

There’s a girl who’s “the nicest person you’ll ever meet”

            There’s a girl who can’t forgive

There’s a girl who’s “a living saint”

            There’s a girl who’s a sinner

There’s a girl who’s beautiful

            There’s a girl who’s full of beauty

There’s a girl who always says good when you ask how are you?

There’s a girl who’s lying every time she answers

There’s a girl who‘s always smiling

There’s a girl who wants to cry

There’s a girl who dresses impeccably

            There’s a girl who’s gorgeously messy

There’s a girl who feels safest wrapped in a hug

There’s a girl who’s scared of being hurt by one

There’s a girl who protects everyone else

There’s a girl who needs protection

            There’s a girl who’s full of beauty

There’s a girl who puts herself last

            There’s a girl who needs a hand

There’s a girl who trusts too easily

            There’s a girl who can’t trust anyone

There’s a girl who’s humble

There’s a girl who can do it alone

There’s a girl who’s your Simon of Cyrene

There’s a girl who needs a Simon of Cyrene

There’s a girl who’s beautiful

            There’s a girl who’s full of beauty

There’s a girl you “can see Christ in”

There’s a girl who feels furthest from Him

There’s a girl who goes to daily mass

There’s a girl who’s still waiting for Jesus to meet her

There’s a girl who “shines with the light of Christ”

There’s a girl who feels darkness

There’s a girl who really loves God

There’s girl who can’t let Him love her

There’s a girl who’s delicate and gentle

There’s a girl with genuine strength

There’s a girl who everyone knows

There’s a girl who no one knows

There’s a girl who wants to keep you sheltered

There’s a girl who wants to let you in

There’s a girl trying to reconcile her beauty.

She’s the same girl. Do you really know her?
