Because you are precious in my eyes, and glorious.

And because I love you.

Isaiah 43:4

A Note about scripture

This is a site dedicated to reaching into the hearts of women to rekindle their relationship with themselves, with significant others, and most importantly, with our Holy. We have a ton of prose on here, beautiful testimonies, thought-provoking reflections, and as much as we women love to dialogue, we need to take a step back. Every word we ever published aside, all the chit chat that has bloomed from one of our articles...if we put all of that aside for a moment, our Holy has something far greater to say.

And that's what's incredible. He reveals Himself directly to us. He's written not hundreds of articles, but billions of lives, all whose sole purpose was and is to be lived for His glory. In a very straightforward way, He speaks explicitly to us through scripture. His words carved canyons, spoke humanity into being, and condemned His son.

And this Word? It took on flesh and became one of us.

Below you will find some of our favorite scripture passages, and if you're at a loss as to where to begin, simply start at one of the places below.

Scripture for Tired, Lonely and Wounded Hearts

My lover speaks; he says to me, "Arise, my beloved, my beautiful one, and come! For see, the winter is past, the rains are over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of pruning the vines has come, and the song of the dove is heard in our land. Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God. -Matthew 5:8

Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God. Whoever is without love does not know God, for God is love. In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him. In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we must love one another. No one has ever seen God. Yet, if we love one another, God remains in us, and his love is brought to perfection in us. -1 John 4:7-12

O God, you are my God--for you I long!  For you my body yearns; for you my soul thirsts, like a land parched, lifeless, and without water. So I look to you in the sanctuary to see your power and glory. For your love is better than life. -Psalm 63:3,4

I sought him but I did not find him. The watchmen came upon me, as they made their rounds of the city: Have you seen him whom my heart loves? I had hardly left them when I found him whom my heart loves. I took hold of him and would not let him go. Daughters of Jerusalem, do not stir up love before its own time. -Song of Songs 3:1-5

Fall not into the grip of desire, lest, like fire, it consume your strength; your leaves it will eat, your fruits destroy, and you will be left a dry tree, for contumacious desire destroys its owner and makes him the sport of his enemies. -Sirach 6:2-4

Mortals are a mere breath, the powerful but an illusion. -Psalm 62:10

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink,
or about your body, what you will wear.
Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span? Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin.
But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them.
If God so clothes the grass of the field,
which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith?
So do not worry and say, ‘What are we to eat?’ or ‘What are we to drink?’ or ‘What are we to wear?’ All these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given you besides. Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. -Matthew 6:25-34

For we know that all things work together for good to those that love God and are called according to his purpose. -Romans 8:28
